Relational Life Therapy

Relational Life Therapy (RLT) is a form of therapy that focuses on improving interpersonal relationships, particularly within intimate partnerships such as marriages or romantic relationships. Developed by psychologist and author Terry Real, RLT emphasizes the importance of identifying and addressing patterns of behavior that can contribute to conflicts and emotional disconnection in relationships.

In RLT, therapists work with couples to help them understand and communicate their emotional needs and desires, as well as their personal histories and how these may influence their current relationship. The therapy also focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful beliefs or behaviors that may be contributing to conflict, such as defensiveness, criticism, or emotional shutdown.

The ultimate goal of RLT is to create more fulfilling and authentic relationships, with an emphasis on increasing emotional intimacy, mutual respect, and effective communication.

An Extraordinary Relationship

As a trained Relational Life Therapist, I will provide a safe and supportive space for you and your partner to explore and address any issues that may be hindering your relationship. My approach involves a combination of traditional graduate work in psychology, holistic coaching as well as spiritual and energetic guidance. With my extensive background, I will help you get to the root of the patterns and find effective solutions.

In our sessions, we'll focus on improving communication between you and your partner. You'll learn how to express your needs and desires in a way that your partner can understand, and you'll learn how to listen actively and respond with empathy. We'll work on building trust, which is essential for any healthy relationship. I will guide you as you both learn to communicate more openly and honestly, allowing you to build a deeper level of trust in each other.

Many couples bring past hurts and traumas into their relationships. We will work through these issues and heal old wounds, which can be a powerful way to move forward and grow closer. As you learn to communicate more effectively and build trust, you'll feel more connected to your partner and more comfortable being vulnerable with them. This can lead to increased emotional and physical intimacy in your relationship.

Working together in therapy, you and your partner can develop a stronger, more resilient partnership. You'll learn how to support each other through the waves of life. My goal is to help you achieve an extraordinary relationship with your life partner, one that brings you both joy, fulfillment, and satisfaction.
